The OR:
This is the operation room or, as we call
it, the "OR." Do you remember
that I told you about the special doctor
called an anesthesiologist? The sleepy
medicine called anesthesia is medicine
you will take just by breathing. Pretty
easy! You may even get a choice of bubble
gum or strawberries flavors to smell while
you’re breathing the anesthesia.
Which flavor would you like? Remember
to tell your doctor. The sleepy medicine
works very fast. The doctor may give you
a job of counting backwards. Can you count
backwards? (10,9,8. . .) Sometimes the
doctors get silly and may tell you a joke.
Do you know any jokes? When you're in
this special sleep you will not hear or
feel anything because your WHOLE body
will be asleep. |
